According to Los Angeles news site, KTLA, Producers of the show about the Los Angeles Lakers are looking for people to fill a variety of roles. No acting experience is necessary, as these are background roles. The roles are paid but the call is not for principle actors. The roles being cast for are all non-speaking roles but there may a featured extra role in the mix. The show will actually be filming for some time, August 2022 and February 2023.
Per Los Angeles news channel, KTLA 5, Casting agents with Alessi Hartigan are looking for actors to portray Kurt Rambis, Mitch Kupchak, Byron Scott, James Worthy and Robert Parish.
The show needs athletic men between the ages of 18 to 38 years old who are between 6 feet 2 inches to about 7 feet tall. The show is also in need of men with a “lean and lanky build” who can play basketball or a game with other balls such as volleyball. The show is also in need of other types who can portray other characters that the production will be in need of for the next few months and into 2023.
Open call Aug. 4 at Whizin Square in Agoura Hills. Agoura Hills is located in the Los Angeles area, but on the outskirts of Los Angeles which is closer to other areas.
